Site Location: University Experimental Forest /National Taiwan University, Taiwan Latitude, longitude, elevation, size: 23º28’ N, 120º52’E, 2000-3952 m, 400 ha Principal biome/main communities: Montane evergreen coniferous forests/ hemlock and spruce forests, mixed hardwood and coniferous forests, and Yushan cane grassland History of site: TTC is located in the Experimental Forest of National Taiwan University since 1949. Site was designated as a TERN site in 1996. This area is also in the Yu-shan National Park and is classified as nature reserve area because its unique alpine landscape |
