Site Location: Nan-jen-shan Nature Reserve/Keng-ting National Park, Heng-chun, Taiwan

Latitude, longitude, elevation, size: 22º28N, 120º51E, 10-500 m, 430 ha

Principal biome/main communities: Subtropical monsoon forest/Lauraceae forest

History of site: Site was designated in 1995

Research Topics: Succession of plant community; herbivore-plant interaction; organic matter accumulation and decomposition in surface layer; disturbances (monsoon and typhoons) on forest structures and functions; food web and nutrient cycles in freshwater wetland; ecological modeling and data management

Infrastructures: Four weather stations; three observing towers; accommodation for 20 persons; visitors must to get permission from the National Park Services to enter the site
