Principal biome/ main communities: Temperate forest/Cypress forests and marsh community

Infrastructure: Accommodations for 10 persons, visitors must get permission to enter the preservation area

History of site: Yuan-yang Lake Nature Preserve was designated in 1992 under the Culture Heritage Preservation Act in 1986
